"This series is inspired by my experience of learning to swim. In everyday life, non-binary individuals may blur the boundaries of gender through clothing and behavior. However, in certain spaces, gender divisions become strikingly clear and absolute—places like hot springs and swimming pools.

These environments enforce strict categorizations of 'male' and 'female,' leaving no room for ambiguity. Most people rarely stop to consider how non-binary individuals navigate such spaces. This work is my way of raising that question."

Through this series, Suman Weng challenges the rigid structures of gendered spaces and invites us to reflect on the experiences of those who exist beyond the binary.
