万树江边杏,新开一夜风。
满园深浅色,照在绿波中。
Countless apricot trees by the river,
Blossoming with the night wind.
Colors of varying depths fill the garden,
Reflecting in the green waves.
This poem is from the Tang Dynasty, written by Wang Ya, titled "Two Spring Songs: The First." It expresses the poet's delightful mood while out on a spring excursion. In a riverside garden planted with myriad apricot trees, a night breeze prompts the blossoms to unfold. The apricot flowers, with varying shades, cast their colors upon the crystalline spring water. The blossoms imbue the river, and the river moistens the flowers. Along the riverbank, a forest of apricot blossoms; in the water, shadows of apricot flowers. They complement each other, enhancing the richness of spring, creating an atmosphere of intensified beauty!
