ART ON SPACE is an independent cultural space located in the Chuihong community of Foshan, China—an urban hideaway woven into the rhythms of the city. Through books, moving images, and exhibitions, the space explores photography, architecture, and a range of contemporary art forms, advocating for an aesthetic sensibility rooted in critical thought. ART ON SPACE maintains an ongoing collaboration with Ochre Space in Lisbon, a contemporary photography and moving image space founded by Portuguese curator and photographer João Miguel Barros. It is also connected to the MAP (Matchbox Art Project), initiated by architect Qiuwen Luo. Embracing the idea of a “pan-space,” ART ON SPACE is committed to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and building global perspectives through art.
